THE TEAM
Elizabeth Finnegan: President
Elizabeth M. Finnegan was born in Brighton, Michigan, on August 13, 1984. Her mother, Arlyne Jeanette, was an overachieving surgeon. Her father, Gregory Steven, was a successful carpenter. Their daughter Elizabeth was the youngest of six children. She was educated at Brighton High School and Yale university. After Elizabeth graduated, she went into the medical field. She became a traveling nurse and missionary, visiting communities around the world to heal the hurt. As Elizabeth traveled, she witnessed many historical sites, such as the Great Pyramids, the Great Wall, the Colosseum, and so much more. The stories Elizabeth has heard have encouraged her to grow into an independent traveler and hold several leaderships skills to serve her community, families, and other countries. Becoming America’s leader was a distant dream as Elizabeth entered Yale. Though, as she tasted many cultures, and endured unique, frustrating orders throughout her adventures, Elizabeth compared her nation to many others. She grew peace of mind of what lacks and what makes America complete. Elizabeth authored her eye-opening book, The Effect of Freedom, which analyzes the privileges of freedom and how it can be abused. “We live in privileged country, where our beloved husbands, brother, and sons took risks for a great cause that can be taken in by greedy hands,” She stated during a New York Lives interview on January 15th. Her goal is to adjust the definition of the American Dream, so that it takes away the sense of greed and worldly wishes. Being the cause of this profound impact could change the world for the benefit of America. This drives Elizabeth to willingly devote her service to her worthy nation.
